Swimming In the Amazon: A Post by Taylor

My favorite part about the Amazon is swimming. During the time we were at the Amazon, we did a lot of swimming. The first time we went swimming was in a lake. The lake was really, really warm and hot in some spots. We did a lot of jumping off the boat. That was the only time we went swimming from the Tahuayo Lodge. 

When we were at the ARC, we did a lot more swimming. Once we got there, we got our swimsuits on and swam right out front. We were swimming with the caimans. 

One time we went to another lake and we went swimming there. It was a bit colder but not by much. Wherever we went swimming, the water was really dark and almost a reddish color. 

On the last day in the Amazon, we went swimming and it was cold out (for the Amazon). But it was still fun. 

That was my favorite part of the Amazon.
